ALL SYSTEMS GO! We can confirm that our annual St George's Day festival will proceed as planned this Saturday, 20th April. (Regrettably, tractor rides will not be running.)

Alison's Extended Study Leave (Sabbatical) - Alison will not be ministering from 1st April to 30th June. In her absence, the wardens, Neil Jacobsen and Mike Phillips, will be in charge of the Parish as a whole. Priestly ministry will be exercise by Rev'd Caroline Armitage. Any queries, please direct to jacobsennm@gmail.com, mike@clairephillips.com or churcheswestgrinstead@gmail.com. Thank you.

Curate's Clinic - Rev'd Caroline Armitage will be at St Michael's every Thursday between 10:00 am and 12:30 pm for anyone who wants to drop in and see her- no appointment necessary!

Friday, 19th April - 7:00 pm - Gems at St George's - An evening with Christopher Payne (former Director of Sothebys and presenter of BBC Antiques Roadshow). Tickets £15 to include canapes and soft drinks. Contact: Susie Jacobsen 01403 711763 or Dave Tidey 01403 864762.

Saturday, 27th April - 10:00 am - St Michael's Pollinator Garden. Urgent call for volunteers! First working party to dig out the main flower bed, and hopefully plant hedging. Please bring a spade if you have one, and gloves. Please let Andrew Armitage know if you can be there - andrew@familyarmitage.co.uk.

Sunday, 26th May - 11:30 am - Annual Parochial Church Meeting (APCM) at St Michael's. Please check that you are on the electoral role when it is displayed and consider standing for the PCC or Deanery Synod.

Access Ramp - We are planning to install an access ramp at St Michael's. Please click here to see a sketch of the design.

Horsham Matters Food Bank - The food bank started 2022 by providing food for 347 people and ended it by feeding 1,466 adults and children in December – an illustration of how tough things have got for many. January 2023 has continued in the same vein with 788 people needing support with food. More and more of those needing help are working people, finding their salaries no longer cover both bills and food, and our support in household budgeting, debt advice and benefits checks is proving a valuable service to those now in crisis.

If you can spare an item or two, the foodbank is currently short of:

Jam, Marmite, Chocolate Spread and Peanut Butter, Ketchup, Brown Sauce and Mayonnaise, Long-Life Sponge Puddings, Laundry Detergent, Deodorant

OUR DONATIONS ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN EVER.

If you would like to receive our regular email updates and keep in touch with what's going on at St George's and St Michael's, please email notices.churcheswestgrinstead@gmail.com.
